Admission
Admission to Ivy Tech Community College requires...
1) A completed application for Admission also available in PDF here
2) Proof (transcripts) of a high school diploma or GED results or demonstrated "ability to benefit" based upon assessment by the College. Admission requires an official copy of your high school transcript, click here to download a form to send to your high school to request a transcript.
3) Participation in assessment administered by the College. This is required for all students who are seeking the associate degree or the technical certificate and students who wish to take general education courses. Students with ACT or SAT scores, appropriate college credit, or equivalent assessment scores may be eligible for an Assessment Waiver. For information on obtaining an Assessment Waiver, please contact the Office of Admission.
Special Note for Distance Education Students: If you do not
live near an Ivy Tech Campus, you may make arrangements for taking the
assessment at a college near you. For information on taking our Admission
assessment at another college please contact Jan
Dykstra of ACT at 319-337-1376. ACT will locate the closest institution
that provides either the COMPASS or ASSET. When you contact the host
institution, let them know that you are a distance education student and
need to complete the assessment for admission requirements at your home
institution. There may or may not be a minimal charge. Send your results
to Ivy Tech Community College, Admission Office, 8000 S. Education Drive, Terre
Haute, IN 47802. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact

4) Completion of specific program requirements as needed.
