Co-op
A co-op program is a win-win program for employers and students. An intern brings new ideas and skills to the workplace, and is a useful tool to attract and recruit new talent. More than 50 percent of interns return for full-time positions following graduation. An intern brings enthusiasm, commitment and innovation to an organization.
For the student, a co-op program provides an excellent opportunity to apply what they have learned in
the classroom to the real world. A co-op experience can be part of any academic program. The emphasis on a co-op program is new for Ivy Tech Community College, we hope to begin placing students this fall.
A co-op information night for new and returning students will be scheduled this fall. The program will be designed to answer questions like...
Why co-op?
How do I get started?
What are the biggest benefits?
How much $$$ will I make?
How can it make me a better student?
What about transportation?
What work assignments do co-op's get?
Gain a competitive advantage by including work experience with your course work. The end result could be faster job placement at graduation with a higher salary!
