Dear Internet Student

Welcome to the Distance Education program at Ivy Tech State College - Region 07. Whether this is your first Internet course or you are a seasoned veteran, we want to help make this a great learning experience for you. The Terre Haute Campus Fall 2007 term courses begin August 20, 2007. You will be allowed to log into your Internet course(s) through Campus Connecton to verify your access to the course(s). If you are enrolled in an Internet course, delivered by a campus other than Terre Haute, the start date may be different. Contact that campus immediately.

Distance Education courses are available to you 24 hours a day. Instructors are not online 24 hours a day, but they will try to respond to email within 48 hours during the work week. This may not include grading of homework, exams, and projects. Your instructor will provide an online syllabus that you are required to follow. Your syllabus will provide you with assignments and due dates. It is your responsibility to contact your instructor during the first week of the semester. You will need to check your Ivy Tech Internet account and mailbox daily, if possible. In the event of any coursework problems, contact your instructor IMMEDIATELY, either by email or telephone 1-800-377-4882 or (812) 298-2231.

Textbooks are generally required for your online course(s). Please go to this link: http://bookstore.ivytech.edu for book information and ordering. Special software may also be required for your courses.

A tutorial on using our distance education software is available online here. This tutorial is to be viewed by all first-time Internet students and any returning Internet student who may have experienced difficulties with the distance education website in the past.

  2. Click on the "Courses" tab.
  3. Left top box says My Courses, click on My Ivy Tech Campuses.
