The Parke County Learning Center is re-introducing the "Sack Lunch" series. The 1st Thursday and the 3rd Thursday of each month from Noon to 1:00pm the Parke County Learning Center will host a guest speaker for a public discussion on a variety of topics. The "Sack Lunch" requires each member of the public to bring their sack lunch and enjoy an informative discussion topic with that week’s guest. Seating is limited to 25 people so reservations will be required. Call Vic Fields at the Parke County Learning Center, 765-569-1065, to reserve your spot during the topic of your choice.

- Jan. 15 - PCLC Sack Lunch with photographer Malcolm Moore on Digital Photography as an Art Form.
- Feb. 5 - PCLC Sack Lunch with Neil Goheen, Rockville Town Manager.
- Feb. 19 - PCLC Sack Lunch with Ken Coleman and Dealing with a National Crisis.
- March 5 - PCLC Sack Lunch with Anita Kite of H & R Block, Filing 2008 Taxes.
- March 19 - PCLC Sack Lunch with Ruth Stites of Ruth’s Floral Creations.
- April 2 - PCLC Sack Lunch with Bob & Bonnie Wright of the Beef House. This will be a field trip to the Beef House near Covington to have lunch with the owners. Special luncheon cost of $10/person plus individual transportation.
- April 16 - PCLC Sack Lunch with Sonny Carey of The Daily Clintonian.
- May 7 - PCLC Sack Lunch with Brooke’s Candy of Dana. Homemade candy available for purchase after the program.
- May 21 - PCLC Sack Lunch with Randy Wright, Parke County Historian honoring Parke County’s Veterans through the Years.
- June 5 - PCLC Sack Lunch with Parke County Sheriff Mike Eslinger.
- Jun 18 - PCLC Sack Lunch with Beverly Roddy, my life as a chaplain.
