PLUS Online Application
You are about to access information to apply for a PLUS Loan for Ivy Tech Community College in Terre Haute, Indiana. Only parents of a dependent undergraduate student are eligible to apply for a PLUS Loan.

Although not a requirement to apply for a PLUS Loan, parents are encouraged to have their dependent children submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), so the student may be considered for all possible financial aid programs. The FAFSA can be completed at www.fafsa.ed.gov. We also recommend that a student apply for the maximum amount available through the Stafford Student Loan program prior to the parent applying for a PLUS Loan.

Remember, this is a Loan that MUST be repaid.

Please read the following information before continuing with the application process.

Before your loan can be processed, the following eligibility requirements must be met:

" The student must be registered in a degree program (AA,AS, AAS, or TC)

" An official copy of the student's High School Diploma or GED scores must be on file in the Admissions Office or the student must meet the ability to benefit (ATB) requirement.

" The student must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.

" The student must be maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

Failure of the student to meet the eligibility requirements will result in cancellation of your loan application and/or loan disbursements.

Loan applications that are completed ten (10) or more days after the semester begins, or those who need additional documents, may be subject to later disbursement dates.

The annual limit on a PLUS loan is equal to the student’s cost of attendance minus any other financial aid the student receives. If the student’s cost of attendance is $6,000, for example, and the student receives $4,000 in other financial aid, the parent can borrow up to $2,000.

Refund checks are not received on the disbursement dates. The student’s account is credited on the disbursement date. REFUND CHECKS SHOULD BE RECEIVED 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER THE DISBURSEMENT DATE, PROVIDED THAT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION IS COMPLETE

After clicking below, you will be directed to our PLUS Preferred Lender list where you will need to select a lender. If you have previous student loans and are unsure of your lender, you can find that information at www.nslds.ed.gov.
