New Student Orientation
If you are a degree-seeking student, a transfer from another college, a first-time student, or just taking a few classes, every entering student should attend New Student Orientation (NSO). This year’s New Student Orientation theme is Get Tuned In! That is exactly what all of the faculty and staff involved in the planning and implementation of NSO want to do- get new students “tuned in” to what Ivy Tech Community College- Wabash Valley Region is all about.

Ivy Tech wants you to get the most from your investment in your future- which is what your college experience should be. We want you to get answers right from the start. Answers to questions like:
  • What will my classes be like?
  • Will I like my major?
  • What if I need help selecting a major/career?
  • What activities are there to do when I'm not in class?
  • What kinds of resources are available if I need help?
  • How do I pay my fees?
Finding out the answers to these questions and many more will help prepare you for the first day of classes and beyond! At Ivy Tech Community College- Wabash Valley, we want you to be successful and we believe students that take part in New Student Orientation will come away from the program equipped with the tools to succeed and make the most of their college experience.

Students attending NSO will be able to meet with a Financial Aid representative, ask current Ivy Tech students questions, meet with a faculty representative from their major, learn about on-line classes and Campus Connect, purchase books, get their parking tag and student identification card, and much more!

New Student Orientation will take place in Terre Haute on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 1 p.m. and Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. Greencastle will also host New Student Orientation on their campus on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 5:30 p.m.

RSVP for New Student Orientation today!
